Moved to Galveston the first of the year, and I have lamented the lack of edible Chinese food on the island. We ventured to Texas City today and before we left, I used Google Maps to find all the Chinese restaurants in the area. Found and chose this one based on the recent reviews. They did not steer us wrong on this! First, it is in a non-de script shopping center that doesn't look too inviting. Nevertheless, we entered and due to the time of day, all of the help were eating lunch, so I felt a little guilty interrupting. They invited us in and made us feel welcome. It's a fairly small dining room with probably around a dozen tables. They also appear to do a pretty good takeout business as well. Anyway, after being seated, our waiter was a boy (son of owner) about 10-11 years old. He was masked, polite, and professional. He knew all about the food as well, with good descriptions as well! Since it was a little before 3pm they were still running off the lunch menu, even on a Saturday! I ordered General Tso chicken with WonTon soup, and my wife ordered the Coconut Shrimp and Spring Roll. The food came out in less than 10 minutes both Hot and FRESH! Everything was perfect with no complaints on anything. Our waiter made sure we had everything we needed, including refills. VERY impressed with his maturity and professionalism! When I paid, I was assured that he kept all of the tip. Got extra from us...and we will return. I took a photo of my plate as an after thought, and still had it on macro, so the quality is lacking. But, as you can see, for a combo lunch...there is a LOT of food!

ordered the pu pu platter. everything was so overcooked I couldn't eat it. it was like leather. the spring rolls were the only thing I enjoyed. the general tsos chicken also like leather. I really wanted to like this place. Also, the way it was bagged, it busted when I opened the plastic bag. The paper bag was so wet it wouldn't stay together. Almost forgot, ordered vegetable fried rice...it only had onions and peas.

Chinese men working there are rude. Just threw my egg rolls on the counter after making me wait 10 minutes for just 3 eggrolls. Could be a little nicer, because of this, I won't be back. I don't like to feel like I'm trash when I'm spending my money somewhere.

There is no way I'm not going back. Tasty and priced right with ample portions. Good service from pleasant and knowledgeable staff. I'm going with four stars because the enterior decor is a little tired and one of the booths is torn up. Soft fabric can not be adequately cleaned. The vegetables were also a little dried out. You can tell they're hand cut. Probably prepared/cut during a lull earlier in the day. Same thing you find at a salad bar-no big deal. The sauce is flavorful, the rice is moist, and the spring rolls hot and crispy. Their neat trick is keeping the battered chicken crispy without overcooking it My wife ordered sesame chicken. It was well sauced and the chicken had a nice little crunch to it. The hot and sour Soup was interesting. It was the first time I had ever had it with pieces of meat in it and some onion. It was tasty. It's worth trying.

Excellent food! Wow! Talking about fresh, hot and delicious! We tried the Pu Pu platter and was pleasantly surprised. The staff was very attentive and friendly. We totally recommend this place.
